Steven has written over 60 episodes of Coronation Street, having joined the writing team in Spring 2018.

With his co-writer, Tony Green, Steve has achieved huge success with transmissions of The Mill Series 2, Jimmy McGovern's Moving On, and Casualty. Currently working on their original drama series and comedy dramas with Hat Trick, Bandit and Lime, they have also developed projects with other companies including BBC Drama, ITV Studios, Angel Eye and LA Productions.

Steve's solo credits also include many commissions for Hollyoaks and Hollyoaks Later, winning the 2017's Scene of the Year in the British Soap Awards with his poignant and heart-breaking portrayal of Jade's last day with Alfie and her release from teenage cancer. He's also written episodes of River City; developed an 8-part comedy series, Loser's Pact, with ITV, and has had a series idea commissioned by Red Production Company.

His Radio Drama includes a one-off TV comedy, His Latest Flame.
